Wildlife Photographer - Nature Filmmaker - Outdoor Enthusiast
Gunnar Dresler
I am from a small town in Germany called Moers. Since I have been young it has been a dream of mine to move to Scandinavia and this became reality when I moved to Trondheim in 2016.
When I got my first DSLR camera in 2015 I was convinced that I wanted to work with different media and bring my own impression out into the world. This started off when I worked at Trondheim’s Student Newspaper “Under Dusken” when I learned about photo journalism and print. It was a great pleasure to become a part of “UKA 2017 - Skap historie!”, Norway’s biggest cultural festival, and film live concerts with thousands of visitors in front of the stage and in front of screens.
It was easy to focus back on nature as a studied biologist and take pictures of landscapes and wildlife from the alps in Italy to Svalbard in the North. My interest for plant- and wildlife has always been there, I just had to combine it with photography.
Nature photography has many facets for me. I am out in the field to take pictures or film wildlife, which I then share to a growing audience on YouTube. People can join very close while I take photos that I sell or video material that will be published on TV. In my chosen home, Trondheim, I take photos of pets and invite to workshops.
There are many things to do and to learn. Nature is a great passion and inspiration for all I do, and not least a great source of calm and peace. I hope I can bring a bit of the great outdoors to your home through my work.
Since 2019 I’m sharing my adventures on Youtube. Join me in the wild!
